Drop bar 29ers have been talked about here a bunch in different threads. My advice would be to look for a frame with a tall headtube to reduce the amount of spacers needed and raise the bars without having to go to a super-steep angled stem.

As it's vaguely depicted by the bicycle industry, an adventure bike is a drop-bar bicycle that can fit 38mm (or larger) tires, has an extra set of bottle mounts (or several), and is equally adept at handling tarmac, gravel, dirt, and a bikepacking load. That sentiment is flawed.

This is why I believe the Fenrir is a proper drop bar 29er whereas the other two bikes mentioned are essentially beefed-up gravel bikes. Yet, the Fenrir goes a step further than simply putting drops on your hardtail. Most hardtails don't come with rack or fender mounts, or the necessary cargo bosses used in touring accouterment..

The Marquette is a 29r mountain bike. So the trick to get drop bars to work well is to use a really short stem that can also help raise the bars to a comfortable riding position.
